Local Black Sea Bass (Centropristis striata)

This marine grouper is mostly found in the coasts that stream from Maine to Northeast Florida and the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Sea bass is a white fish with a mild and delicate taste.  It has a faint sweetness that resembles that of a cod or a grouper.  The fish is moist, tender, and quite buttery and is a great choice for people that are not fans of the fishy flavor of seafood.  You can think of it as a seafood delicacy that is on the opposite spectrum of sardines and anchovies, which are known for their strong fishy flavor.

Important information you should know about the processing of your order: The prices are per pound for whole round fish.  We weigh up the fish and then process it to the customer’s specifications you must indicate in your order whether you want the fish in fillets, butterflied, steaks or just whole scaled and gutted.
